Q: What days do you work?
A: I work at Bailey's Bathhouse Monday through Friday 8 am - 4 pm with appointments available at 8 am, 10 am, and 12:30 pm. For dog walking, I am available 9 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday and 4 pm - 6 pm on weekdays. Training is by appointment only.
Q: How long does a grooming appointment take?
A: It depends on the dog. Generally, you should expect an appointment to take two hours. It can take as little as one hour or as long as four hours depending on the size of the dog and the complexity of the service.
Q: How far out are you booking?
A: I generally book about two weeks out, though I can occasionally be made available within a week.

A: I have been working with dogs professionally for over ten years. Check my CV and Certifications pages for more information!
Q: What is your regular service area?
A: Please see the image below for an outline. I am currently servicing North Bellingham and Everson. All other areas are subject to an additional fee starting at $10.
Q: What are your booking, cancellation and payment policies?
A: These policies vary based on the type of service requested. Rover has their own policies, as do salons. I will detail my personal policies here for in-home and Art services.
~Dog Walking~
Booking: None
Cancellations: None
Payment: Payment is due at time of service.
~Art~
Booking: 50% non-refundable deposit required at time of booking. I begin working on the administrative and technical details of your booking immediately.
Cancellation, Late, & No Show: no additional fee is levied. If multiple attempts to reschedule occur, this may significantly impact the ability of your service to be completed within a timely manner.
Payment: Payment is due upon receiving the invoice and image proofs. Full image packages are sent once payment has been received.
Q: What are your prices?
A: Final quotes can only be given once an in-person consultation is made. Please keep in mind that salon pricing is subject to the owner and that I do not control pricing. The bathing package includes a bath, blow out, nail trim, brush out, ear cleaning, and paw trim. The grooming package includes everything in the bathing package, plus of course the haircut. Creative grooming involves everything in either the bath or grooming package, plus a creative color application decided on at check in. Handstripping includes everything in the bathing package, plus handstripping and carding.
Here are the main things that will alter the price of the service: the size of the dog, the condition of the coat, the temperament of the dog, and the complexity of the haircut.
Generally, bathing packages range from $50-$200. Grooming packages range from $90-$350. Creative grooming adds an additional $10-$200 onto a grooming or bathing package. Handstripping packages usually range from $150-$350.
Dog walking rates are $25 for 30 minutes and $40 for one hour.
Dog walking can include walking around your dog's neighborhood, playing fetch in their yard, or playing/cuddling in your dog's home (great for senior dogs who'd like companionship while parents are at work). Add $20 per additional dog. Add $10 if it is out of the regular service area (see image below).
At a $50 rate, your dog and I will go to Lake Padden and hike one of the trails! Hike length 1-3 miles and is dependent on weather, trail conditions, dog energy level, etc. Service includes pick up and drop off, plus a quick rinse and towel dry if necessary. Add $25 per additional dog (three dog maximum). This service usually takes several hours to complete.
~Art~
Photography services: $10-$400+
$80 per hour for a dog-only portrait, $150 per hour to include people, $175 per hour to include children under 16, $200 per hour to include all three. Photo packages can cost as little as $10 for a single digital snapshot of your dog to as much as $400+ for a full photoshoot with multiple people.

~Consulting/Training~
Single-Topic Lecture: $100/lecture
Book a lecture to learn about a variety of grooming-related topics, including the science of skin &. coat health, coat types 101, choosing the right shampoo, creative grooming with Opawz, advanced bathing techniques, and my Dogs Demystified Three-Pack Series featuring talks on Doodles, Deshedding, and Dematting. Lectures range from 1 to 1.5 hours long and focus on a single topic. Book my Dogs Demystified Series of three lectures for a discounted price of $250.

~Holiday Pricing~
Holiday Rates: A $10 fee will be added to services occurring on holidays. Holiday rates apply to the day itself, plus the day before and after if during the week, or the full weekend if it is a long weekend. Holidays observed include: MLK Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day, Halloween, and Thanksgiving Day. The full dates of December 20th through January 2nd also have an extra $10 charge.
