Hi friends, I have a big announcement to share. I’m finally ready to tell you all where I’m working now! Thank you for your patience as I get settled.
This has been an incredibly big year for me with endless transitions. Among them was my sudden departure from City Dogs, where I had worked the last three and a half years. I know many of you might be curious about what inspired my departure, and I would be happy to chat about it privately. But the main lesson I learned after three years of working there is this: it is better to listen to your gut and leave an unfulfilling situation rather than stay and hope that things will get better despite all odds. I have learned this lesson in my spiritual life, in my personal life, and now in my professional life. I hope that the third time's the charm and that I will embody this lesson going forward!
And now, for the good news: you can now find me full time at Bailey's Neighborhood Pet! I am working with incredibly supportive, generous, and kind animal people who are appreciating all of the creativity, knowledge, and technical skills I bring to the table.
I was brought on at Bailey’s partially to bring my Master Grooming expertise to their clients who are already used to a higher standard of grooming, and partially to offer community classes and train apprentice groomers. Community outreach has always been important to me, and I am so excited to offer this with the help of Bailey’s! Teaching has been a goal of mine for the last three years, and I even turned down a job to create a grooming curriculum for another shop before accepting a position at City Dogs. I am so excited to finally be able to share my knowledge and techniques with the next generation of groomers.
This shop is well established in the Bellingham community. Know that the pricing reflects the supreme technical skills and knowledge base of the staff here, and most of my clients will be charged between $100 and $250. I also have a dedicated bather here, so make sure to reach out if you want my hands only on your pup as we will need to book you more carefully. Right now, I am taking these specific request clients exclusively at 8 am and the times are already filling up! You are welcome to pre-book recurring appointments to ensure you will always have a spot available.
